Sunday Salon – Hanseatic

TSS

A quick trip to Germany for the weekend to visit La Familia RWT. Some Wagner-based nerdery, manicure resulting in sparkly purple nails, obscenely good truffle parmesan pasta in a parmesan waffle basket thing it’s incredibly delicious, some German (though actually not much!).

Much needed relaxation and recuperation after a week in which my computer Did Not Work. Even now, my email program is cranky and I still have a problem with our internal messaging system. So everyone I work with is suffering one-line emails instead of a little communicator message.

techcatsBack to London tonight, back to little Maison RWT (or, really that should be Haus RWT, given where I’ve spent this weekend), back to work tomorrow.

Reading-wise, I read all of Jodi Picoult’s House Rules on Friday. Well technically I finished it in the wee hours of Saturday, but we’re going to pretend that didn’t happen because I like to have a clean finish to a month’s reading and not have a book going across the month change (I don’t like it across a year end either. I’m weird like that). It’s been a while since I read anything by her and I’d forgotten just how addictive her emotional legal family drama vortices are. Haven’t read much else this week but I feel like 500 pages in a day gets me some credit.

Apart from that, I’ve been making up my lists for the Super Summer Challenge over at Back To Her Roots – basically trying to focus on a couple of personal goals for the summer. Those of you who follow me on Twitter might see a bit about that.

OK time to get on my Lufthansa plane now. Aufwiedersehen!
