BTT – Burning

If your house was burning down and you could save just one book from your collection … what would it be?

Major cricket nerd moment coming up.

In fourth place: my copy of Pride & Prejudice from school. It has no particular annotations apart from my name, class, teacher etc on the flyleaf, but I loved the book and it is a tangible reminder of another life.

In third place: my signed copy of The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown. I loved the book.

In second place: my signed copy of The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet because I loved the book so much (slightly more than Weird Sisters).

But unreservedly in first place: I have Steve Waugh’s 2001 Ashes Diary signed by:

– Steve Waugh
– Ian Healy
– Mark Taylor
– Ian Chappell
– Richie Benaud
– Bill Lawry
– Tony Greig
– Greg Chappell
(and another signature I can’t read).

which is quite the list of luminaries. I’d be saving that one quickly.
