A Discovery of Witches – Giveaway

On December 27th, Penguin Books USA will be publishing the debut fantasy hit A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES by Deborah Harkness in paperback for the first time.  The novel debuted at # 2 on the New York Times bestseller list and major publications followed in 34 countries. Warner Brothers has acquired screen rights to A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES and its sequels. The second installment in the All Souls Trilogy, Shadow of Night, is due out in summer 2012.

The new paperback cover (shown above) of A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES features the skyline of one of my favourite cities, Oxford. This new video sponsored by Harkness’s UK publisher is available to post which features Harkness giving a walking tour of Oxford with commentary about her inspiration for the book. For more information about the book andwhat Deborah Harkness has been up to, you can check out her website here or her facebook page here.

I’ve seen a lot of coverage of this book around the blogosphere and will be reviewing it myself in good time. Penguin are also offering a copy for a reader here, so to be in with a chance of winning it, just leave a comment below! The winner will be notified by email in the New Year and the contest is open internationally.

I’ve started it already! I’m taking the TBR Double Dare VERY SERIOUSLY next year and so something that arrived today had to be read immediately or it wasn’t going to be read for Quite A While.
