In the spirit of giving:
So during the Great Book Organising Spree of Christmas 2011, I turned up a large number of duplicate/triplicate copies (why did I have 3 paper copies of Tess of the D’Urbervilles as well as a Kindle copy, when I last read it aged 14?). Most of them went to my Bookmooch account and thence to happy homes, but one was a book which is much loved in the blogging world and was brand new, so it seemed appropriate to offer it for giveaway here!
The book in question is Anne Fadiman’s Ex Libris, and you can read Eva’s review of it before deciding if you want it. Robert McCrum of the Observer is quoted on the back:
“One of the most delightful volumes to have come across my desk in a long while, a book of essays in celebration of bibliophilia that will appeal to anyone who’s ever rootled about in a secondhand bookshop and who loves books”
If that sounds like you, leave me a comment and I’ll make the draw in a week.
