We Give Books is a free website that enables anyone with access to the Internet to put books in the hands of children who don’t have them, simply by reading online.
Simply choose the charity you want to read for and then select the books you want to read. For each book you read online, we donate a book to a leading literacy group on your behalf.
A writer experiences internet blackout – of her own volition. Freedom is a program that allows you to turn off the internet and actually get on with your work, uninterrup- ooh a new email!! Hmm must tweet about… oh no wait, concentrate… – ted by those nasty intertubes.
Remember that book you read a few years ago? No? You’re not alone. Biblio-amnesia is actually why I started blogging my reviews of books – I might not remember what I thought of a given book in great detail, but I can remember which side of the 5/10 divide it fell on, and looking at a review I remember a book quite well. But if you asked me to name the 40 books I’ve read this year, I might get to 15?
That’s all from me today – feel free to drop your own interesting links in the comments!
