Giveaway!

ShadowOWWW Europa Editions kindly sent me a copy of The Shadow of What We Were by Luis Sepulveda for review, which I duly did – you can read my opinions here. Europa have also been posting lots of reviews on their Facebook page.

I wanted to get my copy into circulation via Bookmooch (my usual way of liberating books trapped on my shelves) but there were hardly any wishlisters, so I thought I would do a little giveaway!

Thus, to enter the competition (open worldwide), leave a comment below on why translation of literature is important, making sure to leave your name and email address in the available boxes.

Draw closes at midday on Monday 21 March, result to be notified shortly thereafter!

Translation of literature is important — because we need to look beyond our own culture and see what other people experience. Thanks for doing the give-away!

Translation of literature is important because it gives us access to a wider range of perspectives on the world.
