Sunday Salon

TSS

Yes I know it’s Monday night, not Sunday, but sometimes you have to spend Sunday lying on the sofa binge-watching Castle and envying Beckett’s hair – see picture…

Ahem. Hair jealousy aside, busy week ahead, one audit refuses to finish, plus I started at a new client with a nearly brand-new team… Expect reading to decrease in the coming days as I cycle to my now-not-millions-of-miles-away-client-with-decent-shower-facilities.

In short:

started and abandoned The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler

am rather enjoying Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress – finished it tonight on the tube home. Not sure I will recommend it to everybody in the whole world, the way The Book Accumulator does, but definitely a solid little read.

Next up… I’ll probably give Anne Tyler’s The Amateur Marriage one last shot before consigning it to the second-hand-shop pile.
